Surabaya

I visited a wonderful yoga studio in Surabaya. I had teaching some private lessons and a big class there. Studio, around studio, students, yoga mats, even props, everything was lovely…

…even a cat and a dog.

It was the season of chinese new year at that time. When I visited a chocolate shop, I saw a dragon what was made from chocolate..?

This is a gift from a woman who gave birth to a baby. In Surabaya, parents give presents to all families, relatives, and friends when the first month of the birth of baby. This gift  means “Our child was born thanks to everyone”…I think. 

I also enjoyed real Surabaya food everyday.

I am a vegetarian normally, but I had to change my policy in the front of great traditional food. I just felt thanks to genius history of Surabaya, Indonesia!
